The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Engineering T eam at Rawcliffe The post holder will lead a small team of engineers to ensure the smooth running of the site, ensuring adequate resource is correctly managed so that all planned and unplanned tasks are completed safely and in full They will also assist and implement continuous improvements and capital installations, linking up effectively with operational shift management to ensure all engineering issues are fully reported and actioned.

The Job

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working as part of a dedicated, experienced and successful engineering team, the main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Promote excellent standards of Health & Safety, Housekeeping, Hygiene and Quality at all times, reporting any dangerous occurren ces or unsafe machine conditions.
  • Ensure any site breakdowns are responded to in prompt manner by your team and are fully reported in Agility.
  • Support and maintain a good working relationship within all areas of the operational management team.
  • Update Morning meeting board and lead Daily maintenance meeting.
  • Ensure all Daily/Weekly Checks are completed correctly Boilers, Sprinklers, Koch, Water etc.
  • Ensure all required follow up work is correctly reported with available parts lists, prices and any other relevant information gathered.
  • To assist the Production Team in facilitating PMI/ TPM/ 5S/ Lean manufacturing and to promote standards including BRC, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
  • Ensure your team complete all work activity reports, including defect sheet and process confirmation sheets accurately using Agility.
  • Carry out and support the development of the planned maintenance system.
  • Ensure sufficient and detailed handover processes take place between shifts.
  • Contractor Management.

The Person

The successful candidate must have at least 2 years experience working in a maintenance role in an FMCG plant They must also have a minimum of 5 GCSE (or equivalent) A-C grades and a time served apprenticeship with a BTEC Level 3 ( minimum (or equivalent) The successful candidate will also be literate, numerate and possess good IT skills with experience of basic Microsoft Office packages.
