AA BRCGS for Rawcliffe
We are delighted to announce that our Rawcliffe site have passed their second BRCGS audit of the year, achieving the AA standard. BRCGS (British Retail Consortium Global Standard) is the industry-leading certification which provides customer assurances on standards and quality.
AA is the highest grade achievement possible and enables the site to build upon its existing specialist markets and widen supply to hygiene sensitive markets such as food and pharmaceutical. The AA standard specifically allows us to manufacture packaging for indirect and direct food contact.
Richard Moore, general manager at Cepac Rawcliffe said:
“This is a fantastic achievement for all the team at Rawcliffe. Everybody has played a part and we should all be rightly proud of this amazing achievement. Well done!”
The certification follows further significant investment in the Rawcliffe site on buildings and facilities. Richard continues:
“Rawcliffe has a proud tradition of packaging development and innovation and has recently invested well over £1m across our site. We have unique capabilities as a speciality producer with exceptional expertise in new product development, working closely with our key customer partners.”
John Astill, Operations Manager commented:
“The whole team has worked tirelessly with enormous commitment to attain this accreditation. Our philosophy is one of continuous improvement and the site will go from strength to strength. Everyone should feel rightly proud of this great team effort.”
The Rawcliffe Innovation Workshop reflects Cepac’s tradition of partnered innovation. Established to answer customers’ specialist packaging needs and starting from a customer brief, the Innovation Workshop provides an open house for packaging development, the end result being jointly developed innovative solutions and new product launches. Just one example is last year’s launch of the Chiller Pack for the aquaculture industry and there is a strong pipeline of new products destined for launch during 2021 and beyond.
